Brick Lane

So one of the last days of our holiday we all went to Brick Lane and Spitalfield's Market. For this I'm going to let most of the pictures do the talking, but the place was utterly fantastic. It's in the East End and I'd never been there prior to this. The whole area was so diverse and creative, in that way it reminded me of Camden.

An oversized pop up book just sitting in one of the walls. Amazing.

VESPA!

The area has a very heavy Indian population, hence the gorgeous lamp posts.

One of my favourite stores we went into was the Rough Trade record shop. Just a wonderful and concise collection of CDs and vinyl. You could just really tell that the people there cared about every single thing they sold.

We then met up with our friend Lee and his girlfriend Anna and had a lovely curry and a great time at the pub.

LED TIME.

If you know me well you know I love LEDs. A lot. And to my surprise, this area was full of them. Once night fell, I was definitely in heaven. Gorgeous.

Once Lee found out about this mild obsession I have, he told me he had to take me to some place. He took me here.

This is just a business courtyard by the tube station. The lines would change colours and do different patterns and whatnot. It was mesmerizing. It was surreal. It was beautiful.

No place like London

So I took a train from Scotland to London all by my lonesome to be there in time for my enrollment at university. I went and everything went fantastic, and met a new friend on the tube that I hung out with a bit afterwards to go and explore the city. We went to London Bridge which is only a few stops away. As always, with it came a few wonderful surprised. Stumbled upon this gorgeous atrium by the river.

It had a gorgeous Steampunk ship in the middle of it all.

We then walked along the river and saw signs for a Design Museum, so we followed them and just went with the flow.

The museum was a bit pricy so we decided to just roam around the shop but the walk was wonderful and just made me more excited to know that this stuff could be available whenever I wanted it to be.

I had the night to myself as well so I went and saw The Illusionist at a theatre close to my hotel in Notting Hill. Little did I know how stunning this theatre would be.

For only 7 pounds I saw a movie here. The place was absolutely stunning, and as I walked in forties music was playing. I truly felt like I had been taken back in time. The experience was one of the best movie experiences I've had, and I'm planning on going back as soon as I can. Not to mention that the movie was also fantastic. It's a french animated movie, and it was truly stunning. Watching it in the theatre with the tube rumbling beneath my feet and red velvet at my back was unreal.

Afterwards I decided to take a trip to the ever-bustling Picadilly Circus. While walking there I found this little beauty.

Whenever I walk out into this area I always get the same feeling. Such energy and buzz everywhere you look. It's contagious.

Scotland!!

Hello again! Sorry it's taken so long to put up a new blog post, it's been insanely busy around here. But let's hit the ground running. Unfortunately since I only have limited time now to post all this stuff with everything going on it'll be mostly pictures. I'M SORRY OKAY.

After Sheffield Elise and I took the train to Scotland to go visit the one and only Louisa!! Although the journey was long, looking at this stuff never gets old...

So we arrived in Largs and met up with Louisa, and saw her incredibly/ridiculously cute dog, Tara. Of course a Terrier.

Afterwards we went and got some amazing ice cream...

We got Toffee ice cream with tablet and toffee fudge... Mmmmm

Louisa's mom owns a shop where you can paint pottery and things so we went there and had a grand old time. Unfortunately I left before mine got to get fired so I don't have a picture of it, but I'll be getting it soon!

We made some delicious cupcakes... Louisa made the frosting colour just for me :)

The lovely Largs by the seaside.

And the lovely Louisa! :)

We then went to the Viking festival, a cool little event that comes to Largs every year to celebrate when the Vikings came to the town hundreds of years ago.

And that was Scotland! I was only there for a little over two days but I love the place but I love the people even more so. Being able to see Louisa and her family was more wonderful than any countryside or pub or Viking Festival could ever be.
